Los Angeles Clippers Owner Announces Move to New Arena

NBA Team to Leave Current Home in Three Years

Steve Ballmer, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), recently announced that the team will be moving to a new arena within the next three years. The move comes as the Clippers prepare for a new era following the retirement of longtime star player Chris Paul.

Ballmer, a former CEO of Microsoft and co-founder of Ballmer Group, purchased the Clippers in 2014. Since then, he has invested heavily in the team, constructing a new state-of-the-art practice facility and upgrading the team's roster. The Clippers have made the playoffs in each of the past four seasons under Ballmer's ownership.

The new arena will be located in Inglewood, California, next to the new home of the Los Angeles Rams NFL team. The arena is expected to open in 2024 and will feature state-of-the-art amenities and seating for over 18,000 fans.

According to CNBC, Ballmer expressed excitement about the move and the future of the Clippers franchise. He said, "This new arena will be a game-changer for the Clippers and for the city of Los Angeles. We are committed to building a winning team and giving our fans the best possible experience."
